For every day cleaning, use a soft sponge or dishcloth with warm water or soap. A gentle cleaner or mild soap with a non-abrasive pad may be used for stubborn stains. Do not use abrasive pads because they may dull the finish on your quartz countertop. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents such as Comet or Ajax which may dull the surface. Bar Keepers Friend is a non-abrasive cleaning solution that will clean without dulling the finish. Do not use cleaners that have a very high or low PH. Chemicals that contain strippers or chloride will discolor the surface. Quartz is heat resistant but the resin may discolor under high heat. It is recommended to always use a trivet or hot pad between your countertop and pots/pans/baking sheets that are taken off of heat. Sudden change of temperature or constant heat may cause the countertop to crack. There is no need to seal your quartz countertop because it is nonporous. Sealers will not be able to penetrate and seal properly.
